ACTIVITIES
Within a short distance from the Château you have
a wealth of other sporting activities such as Hunting,
Shooting, Fencing, Climbing, Parachuting, Paragliding,
Quad Bike Riding, Squash, Skating, Bowling, Skittles,
Karting etc. Not to forget the many other water sports,
for example, Sailing, Windsurfing, Water skiing, Canoeing,
Rafting, Kayaking and Diving. You will also find numerous
Spa centres full of the romantic charms of the "Belle
Epoque" (Edwardian Era), with the quality of modern
facilities.
Also
we must not forget the game of Rugby which is played every
Sunday morning on the pitches throughout the region. Here
the rugby ball is considered as a beating heart.
FISHING - The Hautes-Pyrenees area has 2000 km of rivers,
one of the prettiest being L'Adour, which runs through
the village of Maubourguet just 2km away from the Château.
Here, as in many of the local rivers you are welcome to
fish.
